Shutterplus

Shutterplus are a leading provider of high-quality custom shutters and blinds based in Ireland, but with a large customer base in the UK. They provide a range of custom built shutters that are design so that the customer can fit and install the product themselves. They wanted to streamline and enhance their online presence by consolidating two separate WordPress/WooCommerce websites – one serving the UK market and the other the Irish market – into a single Shopify website. The unified platform required multi-currency functionality to cater to both GBP and EUR customers, along with a significantly improved user experience. A key component of the project was developing a custom shutter builder tool that would allow customers to easily configure products and see real-time pricing based on their inputs.

The Shutterplus project successfully transformed the company’s online presence, merging two separate websites into a single, powerful e-commerce platform. By integrating multi-currency support and enhancing the user experience with a custom shutter builder we’ve already seen improvements to the order conversion rate. Also mobile page speed has increased massively and even within the first two weeks, organic search rankings have improved by +20%. We also made some big changes to the back end order processes, eliminating some manual work between the client and their suppliers and also by integrating orders directly into their couriers. The new Shopify website has provided a solid foundation for continued growth in both the UK and Ireland for Shutterplus.
