The Brief.

In Spring 2019 we were contacted by Colour Display, one of the leading Leeds based printing companies. They wanted to discuss how we could help them improve the profile of the business to potential new customers and better highlight their size and capabilities with an all new website. The ultimate aim was to get the phone ringing and generating new business to complement their already impressive list of clients from across the UK.

The previous website was built on the popular and robust WordPress platform that we love. However it was a basic one page site that didn’t work well on mobile and contained all the valuable additional information buried in javascript overlays. This meant the site was limited both in terms of its search engine visibility and also its overall content marketing capabilities. Alongside this there was no way to track its performance and the additional business it was generating. In short, the website didn’t really give the company the shop window it deserved. There was also a requirement for more detailed content and improved photography to go with the new website.

After a 3 way pitch, we were delighted to win the contract to develop the new site and immediately put together a crack team to help deliver something brilliant to satisfy their ambition. This included our awesome copywriter Katie and our photography partners Daniel & Angela from La Vue Photographique.

How We Did It.

We supported the move to WordPress for this project as we were familiar with the capabilities of the platform to create great user interface and a visually pleasing website

We worked with the Colour Display management team to pin down the content and understand the technical elements of the business.

we were able to develop a structure and content plan that would elevate the business within search engine results and provide a much more defined brand experience for both new and existing customers.

We combined beautiful new photography of the business in action across all of their screen, digital and the ever more important eco printing capabilities with content and created a much more comprehensive and usable website.

We were fortunate to be able to interview a key founding member of the team which really helped us. This combined with some really important keyword research to help us better understand what actual new customers were searching for.

"We chose to work with pjm:digital due to the ease at which they understood our requirements. Initially these seemed straightforward but as our website progressed they became trickier! During this time they always kept us on track, ensuring we had a functional and visually pleasing website. Would recommend for sure."
