The Brief.

Pretty Gets Gritty is a mixed media crafting business, established and run by a wonderful mother – daughter duo. Pretty Gets Gritty already promotes a popular range crafting of product in an established crafting community. The owner, Lynette, can be regularly found on Hochanda TV showcasing the variety of all the latest Pretty Gets Gritty products. Now there was a desire to support this with an additional direct-to-consumer, eCommerce website. 

It was really important that we captured Pretty Gets Gritty’s eye-catching branding within their new Shopify website to clearly communicate a passion for crafting. We suggested Shopify for its ease of use, clear navigation and great content management system. We worked closely with the Pretty Gets Gritty team to map out the structure of the new website along with capturing the correct tone of voice for any additional copywriting. After a bit of a slow start due to Christmas and a UK-wide lockdown, we were able to turn the website round in just 6 weeks. 

Thanks to the teased promotion via social media, there was already quite a buzz about the imminent launch of Pretty Gets Gritty’s new eCommerce website. Therefore, before launch we decided to create an email capture page to build up the email database. This helped drive awareness and sales and led to a very successful launch day, beating all expectations.

Following the launch, we celebrated a very successful first week and are working with the brand at their ongoing digital marketing strategy as well as some additional work to develop potential trade enquiries. With TV schedules also starting to become easier to plan and manage, the year ahead looks to be a different sort of challenging. We’re really pleased to be able to support the brand and to support their small team as they satisfy the increased awareness of their brand and demand for their product.
